Lol, Jack probably just never gets tired of the way it sounds. XD

I feel like the foundation of Jack’s character is that he is constantly of two minds. On the one hand, he has a high opinion of himself - he’s an amazing duelist, he’s got the nifty secret mark on his arm, he is clearly something special! On the other hand, he’s internalized the whole “Anyone from Satellite is garbage” mentality, and he knows that also applies to him. So he lives in an eternal tug-of-war with himself, trying to reconcile “I am amazing” with “I am worthless” and not seeing any way to do it. So he’s just got to keep hammering home the point “I am amazing” to try to drown that other voice out.

Ooh, yes, I think you’re right about that! He clearly very much wants to be someone special, for his life to have a meaning and purpose, and Neo Domino has definitely given that to him. And Condor Man has certainly been actively working to constantly assure him that he’s a special chosen one as well. He wants to badly to forget the past but can’t so it certainly makes sense that he would feel he has to keep reminding himself and everyone around him that he’s important now.
